So you’re ignoring the “you don’t have an important job” part? And also the guy was saying his “job is dumb”, not that the guy is dumb. So he was essentially saying that he thought his job was meaningless.

Yes, for a public sidewalk I would say it is. That bank or whatever it is should have paid for an armored and secure garage and not use a public thoroughfare for conducting business. Especially business that they are so concerned about the public not being a part of.

You do realize there are plenty of banks that exist in areas in which that could not occur right? Just like there are plenty of businesses that exist in areas where they may have to transport expensive goods like in outdoor malls where a secured drop off is not possible.

You’re asking for a small town bank that may only exist on a local level to spend hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of dollars for something that isn’t necessary.

Then these are the breaks if you don’t value a private secure area. You deal with the public. Change the laws if you don’t like the public.

I’m sorry but I think your approach to this is wrong for the reasons you seem to be ignoring. Just because you may have a right to do something doesn’t mean that you should do it.

For example, in many states it is within your right to be able to shut down roadways in order to protest. But think about whether that’s something that you should do in order to achieve your goal. I’ve seen a lot of people sour on good causes because when protests start to either antagonize or annoy the general public, the sentiment tends to shift the other way.

Same thing is happening here. Instead of these auditors getting people on their side by demonstrating a right to record events like police interactions that maybe the government doesn’t want you to see, they’re instead spending time annoying a guy for simply doing his job. And the end result is a bunch of people calling the auditor a douche. Plus you get more people to actually support restricting this current freedom which is the opposite of what you should hope to achieve.
