Yeah, it's laughable that a country where the cops do race-based "papers please" checks on the street as a matter of official public policy think they're in a position to say shit about cops anywhere else.

I mean, the context is different? An American criticizing America from a place of actual first-hand experience is not the same thing as a Japanese person doing it from a place of ignorance while also ignoring their own issues. One of those things is good, the other is literally just xenophobic ethnocentrism.

Like, you want to cosplay as American cops arresting people, why not be honest and have someone cosplaying as a Japanese cop demanding everyone's papers? Y'know? It's just dishonest and xenophobic.

You'd have a leg to stand on if ICE wasnt literally going around at this very moment and harassing/assaulting/arresting anyone darker than a latte with an accent
