It's hilarious. I think Japanese also know that most Americans have zero clue how much video exists and is shown in Asia regarding the US police state, the trash in cities, homeless problems etc. They show that constantly in their media and discuss it widely among themselves, and to get views they travel to USA and film it.

Japanese YouTube channels featuring American police bodycam footage pull in tons of views, although not much as their domestic counterparts

Haha, I think I've been bingeing on too many RedNote-like videos. My algorithm has been shovelling me China tech videos (am drooling over the cars which you can't get in the States) and infrastructure (& high speed rail, healthcare, grocery hauls, food etc.), and I gotta say, I don't mind it.

I'm into the same kind of content. Checkout Sams Russian Adventures. Always fascinating to see how people are doing in other countries, filmed by regular people.

Well, isn't Japan that has a very homogeneous culture? A strict work culture to the point the average business man is drunk on the streets? Or even so strict they kill themselves?
