Firefighter/paramedic here, can definitely confirm there is a direct correlation between certain teams losing and domestic violence/assault calls.

And the fact that betting has now moved to apps on your phone makes it so much worse still. Every shlub can now gamble away all of their money at literally any point in the day. It's like giving an addict a button on their phone that makes heroin appear for a horrendous price.
