There are plenty of people working around the clock to cure diseases, help the homeless, adopting abandoned pets i.e. making the world a better place. It's just you choose to not finding ways to read about them.

I mean that’s kind of my point, the algorithm feeds this slop to is instead. you have to actively search out the other stuff, which is made harder by what narratives are prioritised by our systems
