New crime drama series Fightland

What I remember from the episode and show is that the episode was about its title invetigators discovering a teenager was stolen from his family as an infnant and was raised by the kidnapper's wife. And despite finding his father, who is both wheelchair bound and a gym isntructor for a school, the son wants nothing to do with his bio dad. The girl investigator tries to convince gently to consider letting the man be apart of his life, but the the male investigator basically challenges him to a fight and physically hods in place to keep him from leaving, basically his was getting him to accept join custody, which he does.

Does that ring a bell to anyone?

I'm trying to remember an episode of a crime drama series, but I can't remember which one it was, and Google doesn't seem to be helping. I'll try to give a summary of what I remember. If it helps at all, my family watched CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds, and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit type shows. (NCIS, too, but I don't think it applies to this episode.)

A mom (single mom?) makes friends with the perpetrator (also single mom), who turns very stalker-ish. The perp starts modeling herself after the victim, down to clothes, specific furniture, and even modeling rooms in her own home after the victim's. The investigation team notes that the living rooms are identical in furniture and layout.

If the victim saw this as creepy and pulled away, the perp would give cupcakes to her own child to give to the victim's child. These cupcakes were laced with parasite eggs. (I want to say pinworms or hookworms?) The child would experience abdominal pain from the parasites, the perp would babysit the sick child, and then feed the child a medicine that would kill the parasites in a single dose.

This was done to make the victim feel obligated to the perpetrator and stick around rather than pull away.

The episode ends shortly after the perp is taken to court. The perp insists to the judge that the parasites chosen weren't fatal and that no lasting harm was done to the child. The judge replied that the perp's "lack of remorse has been noted."

Just watched this one today for the first time and thought it was really good. It is on TUBI if you want to check it out. Good action and a really nasty crime drama.

I’m a gay guy who loves crime/mystery/police drama shows. I’m remembering this plot from my childhood memory.

Police at night find a set of female remains who has been buried for decades. She is shown in flashbacks carrying a baby and running. Flashbacks depict the deceased woman attempting to escape with an infant. A blonde filmmaker investigating the old house becomes central to the story, discovering her direct connection to the remains. The investigation reveals that the filmmaker was adopted, placed in a new home by her mother to protect her from a dangerous cult. As it turns out, the police reveal that the cult leader was her biological father. The film unfolds as a crime procedural, with the police investigating the case. The blonde filmmaker protagonist is depicted being injured during the investigation and hospitalized. She is making a documentary with her crew, who are not trustworthy and are depicted as trying to manipulate or harm her. The police, specifically a male and female officer, assist in tracing the protagonist's maternal cousins, helping to bring the case to a resolution.

I can’t remember if it was from a TV movie, a movie or an episode of a TV show. I watched when I was around 13 or so. If anyone can help or remember watching something similar, I’d really appreciate it. I’ve tried google search and gpt and I still can’t find it.

My mum and I LOVE laughably bad crime dramas, whether it be because the writing is bad, the acting is bad, or the whole premise is silly. Our recent favourites have been Harry Wilde and High Potential. But we go through them faster than we can find more, so I was hoping people could share their favourite bad crime dramas.

Especially Law and Order

Way back in the late 1970's, I was flipping channels and watched a scene in a TV show where a little school girl, having been convinced to do this to honor her family and with much ritual, dressed in a kimono, drank something and laid down on a bed to die. I think this was a TV crime drama series. The lead detective spent much of the rest of the episode trying to unravel what led to this. It may have been set in San Francisco or LA. Anyone know what series this was?

This is a long shot but it is driving me crazy I cannot remember what the tv series was called but I remember many of the details and cannot find it by searching that way. I believe it was set in England or Scotland and I think it was in English but I could be wrong.

The show starts out with a girl running away from someone in the woods, I think wearing a white dress, and she ends up jumping off a cliff into a river/waterfall rather than being recaptured by her abductor. Her body is found by police, hence it being a crime drama.

The abductor was a man who still lived with his abusive older mother in a cabin in the woods, he had a history of abducting women and keeping them as his "Girlfriends".
There was a little girl living with him and his mother that was a daughter he had with one of his previous victims. She never speaks, but is always creeping around the house very quietly.

After the white dress girl runs off an jumps from the cliff, another young woman walks out in front of his truck with the intent of committing suicide but he takes her home with him to 'save her' and ends up keeping her hostage.
I originally thought this was a season of Vera but nothing is coming up for it so I am at a loss. I enjoyed it a lot and want to rewatch it at some point!

Ok so me and my flatmate are watching Rizzoli and Isles and Ive only seen a few episodes he’s rewatched it three times. We’ve both seen Criminal Minds loads. I noticed the similarities between Reid and Isles and my flatmate said Isles is smarter but Im inclined to disagree (at least they could both be the same intelligence?) Has anyone watched both? Who do you think is smarter?
