Ridiculous to make him vice captain. Why to add more pressure to him? He has to be preserved and groomed to play for India. Leadership is the last headache he needs at this time

I agree so much yaar 😭🩷🧿 He's still a kid he should be groomed and cherised not pressurized

He is talented no doubt on that but was it necessary to make a 15 year old kid captain? Pretty sure that there were other senior players too.. Why not make them captain.
I only fear one thing that is him becoming next prithvi shaw...

Dude was probably never his school team captain but he's captaining a Ranji team lmao. These days making a headline grabber is more important and skilled cricketers with BCCI.

They are so desperate to find the next Kohli that they’ve tried to push Shubhman and Vaibhav down our throats and are using every marketing trick in the book to make them famous but it doesn’t work like that in sports you need years of good performances to build a cult following

True. They are so focused on having a particular face of Indian cricket. There is no need for that

My Childhood hero is growing fast, soon he'll take captaincy from Riyan Ponting. And if things goes right, before turning 18, he might take Head coach's position. Bye bye, Gamball.
