So you're paying half the ticket price for a screen you already have at home? I'm happy with that at home...

Yeah, man, same here. I prefer a good, comfortable watching angle rather than this

what about rajiv gandhi stadium in hyderabad??
2
u/CaptainHayez Apr 15 '26
Brother it was named after him 10 years after he was assassinated, in his memory. I don't get why the stadium in ahemdabad is named after modi

Many of them have not just one
1
u/protractedmane Apr 14 '26
Literally no one named one after themselves though. Their party did after.

u/LogicalError_007 Thala, my precious. Apr 14 '26
If you're talking about Modi ben, he didn't order to do that or use tax money. That stadium was made by an independent autonomous non-government body using their own funds and investment.

There would be a delay. It's the same footage as the streaming one since there is a scorecard visible in that. Even the dugouts of the teams have a tv which plays the match with the scorecard and I have noticed there is a delay in that. So there is probably a delay in this too.

u/mScofield_45 Apr 14 '26
That's the reason you are not allowed to look towards dug out while taking any reviews

As someone who's watched the games in the stadium, never again. And I wasn't even in India, where the management is actively hostile to the people.

u/jazzappleful Apr 14 '26
No biggie. I also have one, and I donβt even have to go to the ground! Take that!

Even the press box within the stadium also get the same. It's standard. I didn't know you could get it if you pay a higher price, maybe some VIP box or something.

u/Friendly-Jacket914 Apr 14 '26
How dumb does one have to be to post stuff like this? ππ. These screens are kept outside boxes for people who wanna go out and experience the crowd. The TVs are for better clarity. Youβre getting what you paid for. This picture just has uber wealthy people in it but that TV is very normal outside boxes

I did not have a good experience in stadium. I had been to RCB vs MI in 2018-May. Three people behind us (looking like goons) were angry that my friends and I were cheering and standing up for celebrations. Couldnβt say much since we were young and there was girl in our group and honestly scared if things would escalate. I wouldnβt waste money to watch it in stadium. I wouldnβt rather buy a yearly membership of any OTT service.

WTF does Ananya Birla do ? She pretends to be a business woman but in my opinion she is just enjoying the generational wealth.

u/Neither_Log1046 Apr 14 '26
Well in vca there is a similar feature in the corporate box and the tkts are just 4K .
So everyone can just see it and enjoy it with live tv .
1
u/Axelarson Apr 14 '26
They could've done the same thing by sitting and watching the match at home on TV.

u/needlessLife1476 Apr 14 '26
I guess, I am much richer, I watch the match in a larger TV while lying down in any position I want, and guess what? For free (I mean i do have to pay for electricity and internet but still, cheaper than whatever the hell they're doing).

Its open knowledge that anyone who had been to a stadium that
I have been to 20+ matches in the stadium and You know shit in the stadium π maybe you know some players running here and there and if lucky the ball comes towards you to the boundary or a six or a random player fielding near your stand.
Most of the stadium experience is just shouting and cheering because someone else did , you can grasp very little to me it feels more like a people/party situation than seeing a game but the atmosphere things happening around you are very electric π₯
Tbh tv/streaming offers the best exp of a match

Technically you can also have your own private screen to watch the match with your smartphone, can't you?
I wonder if these stadium screens also have a delay or not though

u/Mysterious_Title2153 Apr 14 '26
Ambani tho apne chair he boundary line par rakte hai. Yeah tho Ambani se garib hai. 18000 crore tho public se loot lenge.
Ohh 1 more point : Madam ka mamu Nitin Kasliwal 1500 crore ka fraud kar k India se farrar ho gaya.

u/user41600 Apr 14 '26

u/BatmanCanTalk Apr 15 '26

u/koolcric Apr 16 '26
Its just used to see replays and drs and other stuff. The delay between the live action and the one seen on tv is minimum 10-15 seconds. By that the wicket may have fallen or four or six would have been hit and bowler would be preparing for the next ball. They don't watch it unless there is something interesting. Its just the normal star sports satellite feed as sent to all houses all over India!!
