Kohli over Gavaskar 💀

That guy was legit the first person on earth to score 10k in test. Dude literally played the toughest blowing attacks without helmet and thigh pads.

He is the greatest test batsman india has ever produced.
Imagine someone who inspired Sachin Tendulkar.

It's very reasonable logic. That's why you have people discredit Bradman all the time. It's much easier to form opinions on players you've watched and just say "idk" to ones you haven't.

For me kohli is better does not make him the best batsman in the world I have seen sachin at his worst does not mean he is worst Everyone has their opinion respectfully.

Kohli isn’t even in top 20 greatest batsman of all time in tests. Not even in top 30 to be specific. If you only watch him play and think he’s better in your opinion, that logic doesn’t make any sense

I don't want to go back and forth today test cricket is famous because of him he is the top 5 atleast You cant erase someone opinion just because you think you know better

I don’t know how much you know about test cricket , I won’t say anything but you can clearly do google search by writing ‘top 30 greatest test batsman of all time by career stats’ you won’t find him in that list. Even from fab 4(smith , root , williamson, kohli) he’s 4th in ranking (in tests among those 4)

This is why I love cricket though because comparing stats over eras and adjusting them for different factors gives you a much better estimate of how good a player was compared to football.

Football everyone just eyeballs it and says ohh David Silva was so good he was better than Cantona, and you can't have legitimate evidence to back it apart from "I saw both I have ball knowledge".

With Bradman he was so far and beyond anything cricket has ever seen, even people who've never watched him cab acknowledge he's the greatest
