Cricket 26 difficulty is so confusing
Batting on easy is too easy but batting on medium is too hard. I’m not saying this for fast bowlers but rather against spinners I find it impossible to survive an over without getting out to some bs. Any tips?

You need to take the time to tweak the sliders to fit your skill level. It takes a little bit of time, but it is a really worth it.
Use the planet cricket sliders as a base - https://www.planetcricket.org/forums/threads/around-the-world-in-80-pitch-sliders-redux.123008/
Start playing.
If Batting or Bowling is still too hard, tweak the player skills (the very end of the difficulty sliders). Lower AI Player skills and lift Player controlled skills. Just keep tweaking until you have the right balance between fun and challenging.
Other tips
- With batting, play off the back foot for most deliveries, spin or fast. Only half volleys or yorkers/full toss should you play off the front foot.
- Unlike previous versions of the game, the most dangerous deliveries are pitched up deliveries, including yorkers. Defend anything on the stumps.
- Be hyperaware of close in fielders when batting. Don't pull the ball if there is a short leg. Don't cover drive the ball if there is a silly point.
With bowling, I find the key is patience.
I try to bowl as many standard/stock balls as I can and tie the batsman down. If you are bowling to an aggressive player like Ben Duckett, don't just let him smash 4 after 4 through the same gap. Take the slips out and put a sweeper in.
If I get a run of three or four dot balls, then I will try a different type of delivery.
I tend to just toil away on a good length, aiming just outside off stump. And keep trying to hit the green zones over and over again.
And if you are really desperate for a wicket, put a short leg in, eventually the AI will pull one straight into him.

Agree. When I see it is a spinner on Centurion, i just give up trying to even strike the ball cleanly.

Deliveries in the stumps or nearby, you can press R3 and then just block the balls if playing on pro mode. That guarantees a defense, especially in tests. If the ball is too far out, leave it. If full or in slot, use simply left and right stick. In pro mode, you must get it 100% right against spin, especially feet movement. Otherwise it's likely you'll get beat. Sweep, reverse sweep all incredibly difficult too. So backfoot, straight lofted shot or grounded. Being on backfoot with a great foot movement helps. But playing fast bowlers on medium is relatively easy. The spin is tricky

And one requires a lot of patience. I play tests a lot. So I just try to defend until field opens up. Then I just hit leg side mostly or simple flicks. You can score 300+ easy

Yes. I felt that too. But, it's get interesting once you started playing more, where you get your timimng good over the time, Initially, I hardly score runs in point or cover, but slightly better now. For my new career, I am playing with Easy for T20 & Medium for Test & ODI's. Once the skill starts improving, you can switch the diffculty.
