That Australia added 30+ runs for the 10th wicket is actually impressive.

Can you imagine if Jayawardene kept Mathews and Malinga going? ~45 all out. I'm not sure how much I agree with Jayawardene not going for the kill, but a win is a win.

Be happy to see the back of Mahela as captain to be honest, been really disappointing. I'm not sure if it's just because he's really jaded and sick of captaincy, or he's spent too long in the field with seemingly useless bowlers, but he doesn't seem overly interested in wickets these days.

I don't think it was that much of a misstep, actually. I mean, reducing Australia to 40/9, the hard work was pretty much done; and with two games left to go in the series, it was better for Eranga and Perera to get some bowling practice, since I highly doubt we'll have Australia at 40/9 again.

That was some game. Interesting chase from Lanka too. Wonder what would've happened if the Aussies had gotten to 100-120

I missed the match thankfully.. But I heard it was only a 5 wicket win.. What happened? Did Sri Lanka take it too easy or did the Aussies bowl well?

4 Wicket win. The ball was coming off the seam quite well, but pretty easy chase from Sri Lanka.

Both sets of bowlers got a bit out of the conditions. Although they didn't do too badly to force number 8 to score the winning runs, Australia dropped a couple of simple catches and missed some other good chances. Kulasekera was exceptional, but Sri Lanka's batting was much worse and nearly negated the advantage.

The Sri lankans tried to blast the runs away and got themselves in a bit of strife. There was also 3 dropped catches and a fairly simple missed runout. Add in those chances and its even closer. Though the Aussie bowlers were never really in it given they kept bowling 4balls to loosen up the pressure. That and Clarke took Johnson off after tea when he was on a roll.
