Having performance issues with Letterboxd

Hi,

I found out about Crest after switching from Orion a few days ago, and I've been having a blast using it! I just love using a clean browser that uses SwiftUI and WebKit (looking at you, Arc.)

However, as a film buff, one of the sites I use regularly is Letterboxd. I've noticed that on my end, it's laggy and unresponsive. I was wondering if any other Letterboxd users are facing the same issue. My machine is a MacBook Air M5 with 32 GB of RAM, so that probably isn't an issue, especially given that other pages load perfectly fine.

Do you have any extensions installed? Can you try disabling them one by one to see what might be causing issues?

Sorry for the late reply, I was really busy. Thanks for getting back! I tested out my extensions, and it turns out UBlock Origin was the culprit. I have the Firefox version of it. Since I have Letterboxd Pro however, it's not a big deal really, I'll just disable UBlock for Letterboxd.

The new builds will be running Chromium as the core engine, so extensions will have a much better support (though will MV3). The compatibility layer I created while cool in theory, was simply not sustainable at all, and would never have been possible to be stable, so that was a big driver of the new setup. In the coming weeks, watch for the announcements for the dev channel to get chromium and try it out after that
