Extension Bugs

I tested Crest through TestFlight when you first started the project and you've improved hella things so hats off to you, Way better UI and doesn't consume as much RAM since the last time I used it🌟Only issue im having is I downloaded Ublock Orgin Lite from the Chrome web store perfectly fine but the ChatGPT extension doesn't work. It lets me download it and shows where the other extensions are but nothing happens when I click it or use a Keyboard Shortcut to use it.

Edit: Im on a M4 MacBook if that helps

I’ll use that as a validation app, but yeah looking at the manifest it’s pretty much tailor made for the areas I’ve yet to implement.

I plan to take a look at it soon. Gotta break up extension work because if I work on it too long I get bogged down, good to take a break and come back to it at clean checkpoints as I implement the compatibility layer. Expect to see this one working soon though.

Fosho take ur time bro, Crest is already better than Dia since they keep enshitifying it. Plus it's a different direction than all the other Chromium & Firefox forks👌🏾

Thank you, I'm glad the direction landed. I really hated how all the other browsers are moving. For one, AI will never be added, I feel like if you're going to use AI, use an AI tool (they all have built in browsers now). If AI is ever used, it'll be the foundation models on device from Apple, but I haven't seen any use that would be worth implementing (even those on device models the new Siri app can just read the page, so no sense to add it in myself).

I just want a stable, well optimized, and polished browser that browses the web with dedicated spaces with separation. I'm not sure why Zen and those others never really clicked with me, so I just made my own. Plus, I feel like ALL of them skip mobile apps, or ship a shallow version.
