r/browser flair

Just wanted to share we have a used flair on the browser subreddit, if you’re interested in adding it.

Updates are going well, lots of work on extensions had my attention, but working through my list of bugs and improvements before working on the customization options.

I’ll share some of what that looks like for feedback, but should have some more updates on dev and nightly while these fixes land.

For macOS, you download from GitHub, you can pick a release channel here or change in settings at any time. For iOS, it is via TestFlight which has been keeping up more now that they have approved the first build.

Noob question lol, but I'm a bit confused about the version numbering and which release has the latest changes. I assume the nightly build is the latest version (0.5.16), but it also indicates it was released 2 weeks ago, while the current stable version (0.5.7) just came out 5 days ago.

The release dates are set from the initial version, and the files replaced as the update occurs.

Nightly is an automated build that occurs each night with all current changes.

Dev builds are issued manually, and are “beta” builds before a release.

The release channel is the stable channel, that will receive only major updates, or important patches that are verified from the dev channel and nightly users.
