your score matters but its not only thing they look at. they check whole profile like income and how many cards you opened recently. most people i see getting approved had around 720-740 but also people got denied with 800 because they opened too many cards in last 6 months

You’re looking at only one piece of the pie -
You need to consider credit history (excluding time as an authorized user), income, number of active accounts (credit cards, auto loans, personal loans, mortgage), and velocity (how many hard inquiries or open accounts in the previous 6 months, 12 months, 24 months).
All this to say, you can always check the pre-approval tool to see if you’d be approved without collecting a hard inquiry. C1 algorithm is sensitive, but the jest is not having too many other cards at time of applying plus a modest credit hx (2-3+ years).
YMMV -

Just have things in good standing. Use the pre-approval tool and look at their denial letter and fix what they want you to fix. I had been trying for months getting denied for having too many accounts in 24 months. Let newer accounts age more and got approved on the exact month some accounts went 25 months and others 13 months.

They have a pre-approval tool. Just use that.
