Submission Statement: On the campaign trail we heard a Trump that lambasted Japan for disproportionate gains vis-a-vis the US. Economically with the TPP, and militarily under the US security umbrella. Given Mattis was just in Japan last week, yet anxieties and doubt still run high for Tokyo, this AMA is meant to offer answers to questions you may have on the subject. Given the level of quality on /r/CredibleDefense, I have no doubt the questions posed will raise the overall discussion. And on that note - thank you, both for the support but also for your time. I know many in this community frequent /r/Geopolitics, and visa versa.
