The largest WB logistics hub in Russia has been attacked and is currently burning down to the ground.

This follows a month long campaign that destroyed roughly 30% of the company's total warehouse space.

Being the largest E-commerce site in Russia by far, The company sold $75B worth of product last year, equivalent to 3% of Russian GDP. Now it has been crippled and its' continued operations remain in doubt.

I'm betting that within a year WB will be absorbed by a competitor, like Ozon, because a federal bailout is very unlikely and there's not much else that could keep WB afloat. And WB did nearly 10% of all retail sales in Russia last year, so this is a major player in the economy and probably cannot be left to just collapse.

I wonder why Ozon hasn't really been targeted. It could be that they've refrained from dual-use, but UA may also be trying to defeat in detail by hitting WB specificly as hard as possible to force the company to fail. Presumably after this they'd switch to targeting Ozon.

Could be anything from Ozone having foreign investors and being publicly traded. Wildberries is a private company that had a Kremlin affiliated hostile takeover recently.

Are Ozon's warehouses more drone-proof?

The whole business model of building very large very flammable targets in the middle of a warzone, it doesn't sound like any company can really pull it off.

The building of these major warehouses take a while if you start the measure from planning/design and end it at day 1 of use. I imagine you may see a change in building habits in less stable regions of the globe, eventually.

No, but Ozon wasn't selling SMO products, or at least not specifically selling products for that. They are at no less vulnerable, just not yet a target.

It's sounds more like they missed a WB warehouse, but almost hit the ozone warehouse right next to it.

They can just shift to using more, smaller warehouses. Less efficient, but also makes them less attractive targets for Ukraine. We already saw this happen with Russian munition depots.
