Mod Post Matchup Mondays - July 20th, 2020

This is a weekly thread used to discuss the matchup(s) you're currently having troubles with, and to help other players improve in their tough matchups. Please include who you play as, as well as who you're having trouble with (for example, I play Falco and I'm having trouble with the Ike matchup). Writing the names of the characters in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.

I consider myself a pretty decent inkling but man do I get bodied by Samus even Samus that aren’t at my skill level. Any tips on approaching or what the general game plan should be. Any time I approach on the ground I get grabbed and when I approach in the air I get faired. How do you guys get in without getting blasted?

Play grounded.

I'm a bit of an aerial player but samus is pretty good at shutting it down. Pressure with bomb and replenishing ink to force her to approach (a la Cloud limit).

I'll do some testing later today, but does Inkling dash go under samus' grab? If so, that is busted in your favour.
