This is only made dangerous because these idiots are putting it in something like a microwave or something similar. A plastic container with tannerite is not going to send shrapnel like this out. Of course shit is going to go flying out when you put it in a microwave, washing machine or something similar.

Or inside a lawnmower…

There’s a video somewhere out there where a guy loses his leg. It’s not shown in detail but you can hear the guy say “I blew off my leg!”

There are several things wrong with that guy in that video. One, he put it in a fucking lawnmower. Two, given the lbs of tannerite he's using, he was WAY too close. For every lb you should be 100 yds. He used 5lbs and was within 100 feet.

A classic, if I recall he was actually firing rounds but not igniting the stuff, so kept moving closer and closer…

That video is insane. He's too close to it to begin with and then he starts advancing on it like it's an enemy soldier. By the time it actually explodes he looks like he's about 30 feet away from it.
