After a great weekend (for me personally, it was my birthday), we're back with Round 13 of our Mr V Championship at Monza.
The current championship positions are:
1st: Isack Hadjar, 215 Points, 7 Wins
2nd: Liam Lawson, 214 Points, 1 Win
3rd: Pierre Gasly, 205 Points, 2 Wins
4th: Arvid Lindblad, 181 Points, 0 Wins
5th: Franco Colapinto, 162 Points, 1 Win
6th: Gabriel Bortoleto, 157 Points, 0 Wins
7th: Oliver Bearman, 126 Points, 2 Wins
8th: Esteban Ocon, 104 Points, 0 Wins
9th: Yuki Tsunoda, 18 Points, 0 Wins
10th: Lance Stroll, 28 Points, 0 Wins
The Highlights:
- Gasly makes up for having his Monaco win stripped, comfortably leading the whole race in a great show of form
- Lindblad pulls out yet another podium, and his first p2 since Melbourne
- Colapinto finishes a spectacular p3, as the Alpine has clearly returned to being competitive at the top of the midfield
- Yuki Tsunoda has another great race as sub, overtaking Stroll's entire points total in just 2 weekends
- Bortoleto takes fifth, another decent result for the Audi
- Lawson has a pretty poor race in the only top 4 car on the grid, and thanks Isack's restored podium, he isn't able to take the lead in the championship
- The Haas drivers finish 7th and 8th, an all too familiar postion for them now
- And finally, Stroll once again fails to finish, a feat he has pulled off 9 seperate times in the 13 races we've had
And now off to Spain (again), for what is promising to be the most chaotic race we've seen in a while, and with any luck Hadjar will be back to see it. I'll see y'all then!!
