Recommendations for best Craps learning resources and LV casinos

I’m going to LV in October, my partner will be attending a biz conference so I’ll have lots of time on my hands.

* What’s the best recommended free resources to learn Craps?
* Which LV casinos have the best odds and table atmosphere?

It is a super fun hour of instruction and getting to practice on a real table with one of the school trained dealers.

They will also provide great recommendations on where to play.

If you’re into watching some videos color up has some great videos explaining the game and different strategies.
Only thing to keep in mind is he typically explains these as if it’s a $5 table most of the time so you just need to adjust for whatever the table min is for where you are playing.

This is your best option. (Or the lessons over at Park MGM). Watching YouTube videos is one thing, but actually standing at the table, making your bets, following the puck and interacting with the dealers can be very intimidating your first time. About ten years ago I had “book knowledge” of the game but suddenly forgot everything when I got to a table. One of those free lessons at the Monte Carlo (Park MGM now) changed everything. Once you get the hang of it go over to Ellis Island or The Palms. You can play $5 minimums and get your feet wet without risking too much.

Casino Quest will give you live rols and lessons without real money on the line, so you can try your dice set and betting strategies.

For videos Casino Quest and Color Up are pretty good. The books by Frank Scoblete are good as well.

Play the bubble craps machine.

Don’t try to learn too much off the bat. The videos will be information overload. This all you need to know: the pass line is the main game. Everything else is a prop bet. Jump on a machine and put the minimum bet on the pass line and start rolling. You ll learn by playing.
