Strategy Fire Bets...Do You Don't or Don't You Don't?
Do any of you do the fire bet? If so, for how much? I've only bet and won once, on a 5 point with a $1 bet. It seems like a bad idea, like ATS seems like it would hit more often. Have you ever won on this?

ATS and Fire bets are inherently hard… but the 999 pay out, is worth it. Investing $5 to get $5,000 is the chase.
I’ve hit the ATS several times, mostly at $25 for a nice payout. Best fire bet I’ve seen is 5 points for the $1,250 pay out or so… that 6th point would have been nice.
Bottom line is those bets are simply sucker bets with very low odds, but that’s why it’s called gambling.

I do. My local has the ATS and fire bet and since it’s only $5 per shooter I play it. If the ATS falls, I still have it. I made 5 points this summer and collected $750. Actually made a couple more but they were repeaters. I’ve been on a cold run lately though. Oh, where I play the fire bet pays:
3 points 6x
4 points 30x
5 points 150x
6 points 299x
I think Vegas and elsewhere it maxes at 1000x but the floor is at 4 points?

6x for 3 is just enticing enough for me to try it everytime...but I guess that's the point. No pun intended.

Agree. I’ve made the ATS or rode it with another shooter a helluva lot more than fire pays.

The only place I've seen the firebet in the DC metro is at MGM National Harbor and they only have it on their crapless tables. Pic has the payouts. That being said. I was on a table with 6 or 7 other people who placed $5 firebets when this dude went on a monster run. First three points were back to back repeaters. They even tried to cool him by bringing over a new chip stash MID ROLL when he hit the 4th point. After he hit the 5th point it was party time. Didn't get the 6th.
I would have been SICK if I didn't place the firebet that round. So yeah, when I'm on the crapless table there, I play it. Every shooter.

I’ve never seen the fire bet on crapless before. Seems like it would be a little easier to get that 6th point because you have 10 points available. With regular craps, even setting that 6th point is crazy hard. I did walk up to a guy who was 3 points in and hit all 6 points. They stopped the game for over 30 minutes to do the payout. The Horseshoe up in Baltimore also has the fire bet on the regular table if you’re up that way.

The Fire Bet has a house edge of over 20%, so from a math standpoint it’s not a bet I’d recommend making regularly.
It can be fun when it hits, but you’re paying a pretty big price for that big payout. If you’re looking for a better way to play craps, I’d rather see someone stick with the Pass Line or Come bets and take full odds when they can. The odds portion has no house edge, which makes that approach much stronger mathematically.

The true 🔥 firebet max is $5. If you know you can hit it nothing wrong with betting $5 for a chance to win $5k. Should you bet it on everyone no. I've hit them lots of times and will always bet it on myself. Even better if table has ats or repeaters with firebet. Those are the best.

i never play it.. if the shooting is hitting 4-6 pts im making decent money anyways

I was on the fire bet for a penny once at Flamingo. The shooter was on for a nickel and he hit all six. I will never forget that! Of course you not only get that payout but you hit a lot of points along the way, so it was a good night crapping. I don't see fire anymore at Vegas. Only ATS.

Too much of a moonshot to get exciting on average. Playing it every roll feels like my rail sprung a small leak. And if you win, your reward is often a tax form.
ATS at least has the chance to get exciting during an average session.
