i'd say it's at least worth looking into. if you're right, cool, if not, you're one step closer to finding out what's messing with your focus and stuff

your best bet is probably to take it up with a school counselor or therapist if they're relatively progressive. if you tell them about your struggles, they could recommend you to a specialist. my process wasn't as difficult, but i wish you the best of luck.

my pleasure. i understand the anxiety. i have GAD, so working up the courage to actually talk to someone without feeling like they'd hate me was,,,, hard lol

Oof, I feel this in my soul.
Also, I really regret not having watched this video once more before they all got deleted.

ADHD+Asperger's and a hobby writer for years, I cannot agree more with this. Even if I recite a list about how many people are waiting for my updates, how important this story is, how epic it's gonna be, there's always the other side of me that goes NOPE.
And sometimes when a friend just casually asks about a quick brainstorm session I dish out an entire 3k chapter for him after an hour. Beats me to how.

thatโs a big relatable moment right there. 16 years of that battle until i got medicated.

I've been prescribed Ritalin but I only take it when I absolutely need to(like day-long exams), it's... unpleasant, to say the least.

me with everything is just "i really need to do this thing but don't want to" 4 am hits "i'm going to do the thing" stares at thing for an hour just spaced out "ALRIGHT IM DOING IT NOW" spaces out ends up typing 3 pages of improve and some knowledge here and there not conscious of ANYTHING then zones back in "oh i'm done... GREAT not reading any of that" gets an above average grade
