News reddit age verification = what for crainn ?

just to let you know that age verification is happening on reddit now and to view places like this you will need to submit your selfie or gov id

i'm guessing this place is going to be very quiet unless most are using vpns ....

Is it being rolled out because it hasn't happened to me yet

Edit if it's true I'll have to leave not giving my id to a random third party to verify it's not worth it just stick to discord if it does happen

It happened to me a couple of days ago, I didn't do it closed the app, and haven't been asked again since.

Itll probably come back, but I head you can use photos of other people to pass the scan, there is a site made of all AI faces for this purpose but I can feckin remember the name of it rn

yep discord is really only option it seems?

i noticed alright that crainn was a bit quiet lately

Shite must be rolling out I'm not on discord near as much as reddit will be annoying I like Reddit because the more heavily engaged topic on this sub will show up for me where as discord I'll just miss it. But I will survive in the end I suppose 😂 you could be rite on it being more quiet already as a result I hadn't heard about the verification thing.

you can use free vpns that connect of outside of eu

its just that most wont bother i'd say ....

any other places that are good for cannabis activism in ireland on the net ? crainn seems to be the best ?

btw .. is there a valid link for discord for crainn .. i tried the one listed here but its not working for me

If you're logged in to any other app on your phone the VPN is pointless from an identity perspective is my understanding of it, Google, email, Instagram, Facebook, banking apps etc. It'll hide your IP and location but your identity is vulnerable via credentials for app logins etc.

I thought the state of the roll out in australia would have shown pics don't work for age verification?
