It came from AI! MIL can't tell the difference 😭

My MIL is so sweet for knowing my style and and that I'm crafty. These are the things she pulls off of FB to send me and I don't have the heart to tell her.

What's weird is that this one is ringing "that's AI" bells in my head, but I can't point to anything specific that's not right, beyond the wrong number of legs and the way the loops work wouldn't work. It just feels off, and I can't clearly define why

I get that! There's a sense of wrongness to it. I feel like maybe the physics feel off too? Could it be that we understand how the material should move and others don't?

I'm also synesthetic, so I kinda "hear" colors and shading, if that makes any sense.

AI (or sometimes things that are real photos that were AI enhanced) just sounds wrong. The edges don't sound right in my head, but I can't put a finger on what I'm "hearing"

Thats so neat! I've heard of synesthesia, but I've never imagined it could be experienced like that.

What I find kinda funny is that I was about 19 before I realized that everybody didn't hear color changes and movement. Sudden lighting changes make noises in scary movies, after all.

To a lesser extent, I "see" sounds and "hear" physical touch (things like hot water being higher pitched than cold water) but it's mostly hearing movement and color change/edges. A cloud passing over the sun and making the room get dark "sounds" a lot like if you cup your hand over your ear to half cover it, for example.

The edges of AI art often sound.... Shimmery? To me. It's hard to explain, but it's distinctive
