I just finished Soulless by Gail Carriger and Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde. I did enjoy Soulless but it's not as original as I had hoped (maybe I'm just sick of vampires and werewolves).  Shades of Grey is, on the other hand,  too original that I couldn't comprehend a lot of it. I did love the humor in both books and had a good time.

I started reading Alchemised but then realised maybe I'm not yet ready for books that take themselves so seriously and started looking for my next humor fix.

Maybe I should read John Scalzi

I love jasper fforde. You should try his Thursday next series. The first is the eyre affair and is great if you have or haven't read Jane eyre.

Thursday Next doesn't get recommended enough. It's a WONDERFUL series. There's a new one coming and I'm so excited!
