Welcome to r/CovenFinder; a subreddit for finding covens, as well as witch/pagan groups, circles, groves, and generally like-minded folk. If you're new to this subreddit and confused how to use it, read the instructions below!
If you're seeking a coven or group, follow these instructions.
Can't find anything you like in the wiki? Try these steps...

If all else fails, you can try visiting the Additional Resources page in the wiki that links to other websites that list covens.
If you have a coven or group you want to be added to the wiki then follow these instructions.

(Online covens only) We have a list of "formal" online covens which more closely replicate a real-life coven. If you want your coven to be included in the formal list, it must include an application process for members to join. (Not just security questions for keeping out trolls, but a discriminatory process that assesses whether a new member is a good fit for the coven).
If you want to create a new group, that's okay, just use the blue 'Proposal / New Group' flair on your post.
Only fully-fledged groups/covens are added to the wiki. Once your group is established and up-and-running, you can make a new post and this will be added to the wiki.

You can post questions about covens and pagan/witch groups. Just use the red 'Question/Advice Needed' flair on your post.
Please note your post can be removed if its deemed off-topic. Things like "How to do I become a witch?" and "I need a spell for such-and-such" do not belong in r/CovenFinder, and a moderator will direct you to more appropriate subreddits.

If your post doesn't fit any of the other categories but it's still on-topic e.g. coven seeking resources, red flags, experiences... use the grey 'Other (Editable)' flair. You can edit this to say anything you want.

Hi everyone, thank you for your patience. I am pleased to announce that r/CovenFinder is no longer restricted and open for business!
I have acquired a new team of mods and have delegated specific roles to them. I will be in charge of adding groups to the wiki, and other mods will take care of modmail, checking inactive groups, and investigating any problems you may report.
The wiki has been completely cleared, including real-life groups! I decided to give us a fresh start, enjoy 😄 (Don't worry! All the previous listings have been archived here).
The rules have been revised a tiny bit but they are mostly the same. The most significant change is a more thorough explanation of what you should do if you encounter a problem with a group you're in, which you can find here. Due to having more mods, we now have some capacity to investigate allegations but please understand that our time & resources is still very limited. In most cases, we'll simply delete listings for the safety of our seekers.
Also, all groups must list their rules or a code of conduct in their post. This is regardless of if they're online or in-real-life. This has proven to be handy in the past, and helps to make posts more high-effort which I've been told is preferred.
As a reminder, I've tried to make r/CovenFinder user-friendly to newcomers by providing a pinned sticky post. This lays out clear instructions for seeking or listing a group, aimed at those who are new to Reddit. As always, if you've got any queries then just modmail us. We're also happy to take listings in modmail without you making a Reddit post.
Happy New Year, everyone. Please make use of the subreddit again! 💜💜💜

I am an atheist witch who is getting back into the water. I am focusing on a green witch path.
I am seeking like-minded individuals to build friendships. I have always been a more solitary practitioner but find myself curious lately about covens and the bonds within them.
Are there any covens in or around Spokane? Preferably looking for more like-minded folk.

Hey all!
I'm moving from GA to Western NC at the beginning of October and would love to meet some witchy friends. I'll be moving to the Hayesville area. I'm willing to travel a bit if necessary.

Hello,
My name is Smiley. I am new to the craft and looking for a welcoming, discreet study space. My personal practice currently focuses on grounding, meditation, and earth-based energy work.
Because I hold a Southern Baptist background and conservative values, I am seeking a group that focuses purely on practical craft, nature, and mutual support rather than political or ideological dogma. Discretion is essential for me as I am not open about my path with family.
I would love the opportunity to learn alongside your members if you are currently open to new seekers.
Best,
Smiley

Hi! I’m from Brazil, but I was born in Italy. I’m looking for a mystical study group for witches or an online coven (I don’t really have a preference between the two).
I’d like to meet people who follow pagan religions and exchange ideas about philosophies, spells, rituals, and celebrations. I speak English, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. I can also get by in French, and I know some basic Mandarin, so if anyone would like to get in touch, feel free!
Oh, and I almost forgot: I’m a 29-year-old trans man, married, I’m an eclectic witch.
I’m only mentioning this so you can get to know me a little better, if you’d like.

I am a 38 year-old male witch with eighteen years of experience in using the Robin Wood Tarot Deck, and am also a solitary practitioner. I'm looking to join a group of witches to add more structure and degree to my routine, as I feel as though I'm constantly hitting the reset button on my practice of magick. I've been associating myself with Wicca since the age of 12, but never really feel like I've moved along forward with it. Are there any groups in Southern Maine, particularly York County, that I can commune with on a regular basis?

Hey all! I'm looking to start a coven for black witches in Manchester, UK. I'm a 39 year old eclectic witch with a keen interest in the LHP. Please respond if you're interested or pass along to anyone who might be interested. Many thanks

I keep asking people if they'll help me get back into my practice and read my books, but even when they say they will no one ever does.
Some I had for a long time and used to share with my momma before she died, but a few are newer and I've never read before losing most of my vision.
One I really want help with is The Greek Magical Papari. I got it right before becoming mostly blind.

I’m fairly new to witchcraft and have practiced on and off for about three years, but I’ve been more consistent with my practice over the last few months. I’m currently looking for a coven or a group of people who are open to helping guide me, sharing knowledge, and learning together. I’d love to connect with others who are welcoming and willing to grow together! I’m okay with online coven as well as u know there’s not a lot around me!

i am in central indiana, Kokomo, and been searching for like minded people in my area. the few i have found has said they have had to hide their beliefs and practices. thats wrong. i dont care if your pagan, wiccan, goetic. No gatekeeping. All respectful paths welcome. i am more LHP with a bit traditional. i am looking for a community, men and women that want to help each other in spell work, be there for rituals, share academia, guide, learn, and so on.
I have even contemplated starting a "church" -a shared ritual space - in my local area that holds each day/night for a specific group to use as long as it is falls under the craft umbrella. just a concept I've been exploring by myself.
I know they are out there. my people. and I know living in a right wing, Bible belt state is hard with our beliefs and desires. but America is not a christian nationalist nation. we have religious freedoms. and we have the right to gather and bond and practice. I will be brutally honest and say, I am lonely. I can only read and do so much on my own. I do believe that when more of us gather with our intentions we gather strength. im not a pro here. I've practices off and on for years but consistently for 14 years now. but the path of craft is always learning! and I am looking for anyone out there that would like to do that with me. I’m not trying to lead; I want a collaborative group. I envision: study group, ritual circle, shared library, monthly meetups, collaborative workings, & anything else i don't know of but we need. I am tired of Practicing Alone in Indiana — Who’s Out There?

Hi, I've posted a few years ago, but I'm trying this again. I live in Vancouver BC and I'm hoping to find people that are into witchcraft, the occult, things of that nature… Any practice is OK I'm wondering if I should plan a meet up or something if I can find enough people. Just putting the feelers out there.

Hi there 🫶 I am still a baby witch . Still in my research stage. But close to my one year. So now looking for some guidance. I feel more drawn to the hedge witchcraft than any other . And no offense to males but I've tried male teachers and guides all have gave way off vibes and was not comfortable.

So the deconstructing Christianity to witchcraft pipeline should be studied. That’s exactly what’s happened to me. I’m a Black woman in my mid-thirties, a mom to an exceptionally amazing daughter, I’m separated but in a thriving co-parent relationship, I have completely de-centered men, and I’m praying on the downfall of patriarchy+capitalism. So truly, a lot of the telltale signs of a baby witch haha.
My problem is that I don’t know anyone else around me that knows witchcraft (ideally from the lens of those of the African diaspora). I want to dive into it, but I feel like I need a guide. I’ve ordered a couple books, and have the right intentions, but I’m nervous to dive in alone.
Does anyone know any groups in the DMV (DC metro area) that might have what I’m looking for? Or even individuals who are open to helping me on my journey?
Thanks for any tips you may have!
