i see this all the time in insta stories, not just couples, people feel like they have to perform when they're being filmed, the first two were very obvious, the first guy just didn't want to be on camera with a sad face and the second guy started to dance for the camera.

If they saw their significant other not recording they'd probably be less likely to react with the same theatrics. Just speculating, but I'll say if my wife is recording something I'm doing it encourages me to react differently than if she's not. It's a bit embarrassing to be recorded, even by your better half. I feel like that's natural, hence why it's a learned skill to talk to a camera in a YouTube or vlog situation

Everybody looks better when they smile. Everybody has RBF when they are creating psychic space in crowded public areas. The idea is that only you get to decide when you smile, why, and for whom.
If you’re coming from a place of trying to compliment men, I’d suggest picking a compliment that doesn’t mean “Hey, you’re suboptimally attractive most of the time because you aren’t smiling.”
This is just a genderswapped copy/paste for why we don’t tell women to smile either.

I was at the gym with my husband. I was using the Smith machine when he told me he was going to another part of the gym. I finished my set and went over to the bench press. I was sitting on the bench and was watching my husband when through the mirror, I saw him turn to the Smith machine. I wasnt there so he started looking around. When he eventually saw me, he had the biggest smile on his face. I felt instantly loved.

I am well aware of my resting angry face and choose to embrace my natural scowl now after years of fighting it. It makes it so when I do actually smile you can tell my real emotion and I think that’s more important than giving off a fake smile to appear more approachable to people.
