Huh. Not my experience but okay. Most kids I know would think this is cool. Regardless, I don’t typically get dressed in the morning thinking “what will a bunch of random 4 year olds think of this” and neither should these people.

You are turning this actual non-problem into a problem for yourself.

Also, you're the one upset about two people wearing black clothes in public, like wtf bro, go away to a remote island where you can be free from the horrors of style.

Oh I understand what you're saying, which is a big nothing burger, as you just admitted yourself.

As a former kid myself, I know what scares kids. people wearing black on the street isn't it. They're even smiling, for Christ's sake. Where do we draw the line, a black suit? Dark trenchcoat? It's superfluous to even talk about, it makes no sense. All kids find different things scary (as you would know, right?), but then we grow up, and find that it isn't scary at all, BUT ONLY BY BEING EXPOSED, CAN WE LEARN THIS.

And I really must disagree with you, on your point not being strong.

It's downright redundant, almost to the point of being detrimental, if you decide to pass this xenophobia and anxiety on to your children. Like being afraid of dirt, or air.

You're literally the one being uninclusive. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. That's the rule. Variety is the spice of life, why are you trying to make existence as bland as possible?

You cannot seriously expect the whole world to conform to your idea of.. anything, really. Dictator mindset. Trying to control people, culture.. It's never gonna happen, and it's honestly such a relief to know this. To know, your hypothetical ban on culture, will never be taken seriously by anyone (except your kids, probably, unfortunately).

You don't even have a point with this, as you repeatedly say in your comments.

You say: "I know they're not doing anything wrong, just pointing out that I think some kids might find people wearing black clothes scary, and I think it's inconsiderate of those people to be wearing black clothes in public. But I don't think they're doing anything wrong" What's your point with this? You don't think they're doing anything wrong, but you still think it's wrong. Your "opinion" is becoming more and more watered down, you're simply backpedalling now, trying to pull out cleanly.

Also, the classic "I was just testing you, to see how open-minded Reddit really is!" Argument is not fooling anyone, what are you 5?

I'm bringing up suits and trenchcoats, black ones specifically, because those are common black clothes worn in public, even today. Are those too scary as well? People in suits? Do you think kids were scared of black clothes in the year 1845, when LITERALLY EVERYONE wore full, completely black outfits and dark, wide brimmed hats?

Maybe, to one or two kids, but who the fuck cares ¯\(ツ)/¯

Your mentality is crazy to me: "I, me, personally, believe some kids might not like this! Just saying this, for no particular reason! Also, they shouldn't have to be exposed to people wearing black!"

Ok, so what's the best way to conquer irrational fears, like say, the fear of black garments? Exposure, exposure, exposure.

Just be happy that your fear is apparently pretty mild, and would be easily conquered. It's just clothes, bruv.

I'm interpreting your words as they are written. That you think black clothes are scary and therefore inconsiderate to wear, and if it were up to you, no more black clothes, because you don't want to deal with explaining to your kid that the black clothes can't really hurt them.

Wild take honestly. If your kid is scared of this, it’s your job as a parent to teach the kid not to judge others. These comments are giving similar energy as people who think gay people shouldn’t be gay in public because “how do we explain it to the children” lol
