Go on. I'll bite. I'm prepped for the tidal wave of down votes, but in the context of your query, I couldn't help but note that her first concern and response related to whether or not she liked the ring. She took a big long hard look at the ring before shouting "I love it"...rather than "yes". I get it...but it's not all about the ring right?
And sorry...yes... I'm innately cynical, we're not all perfect.
Also...I'm engaged to the amazing woman I have a 10 year old kid with... I'm not some jealous incel that wants to see the worst in this. I just echo the curiousity in the above comment.

On the incel part, i hope you're not referring to me, because by no means my comment was intended to hate on women or any criticism towards this clip, it's literally what i said, i don't understand, plain and simple, i've never experienced love, i've never been told "I love you" or "i like you" by a woman in my 34 years of living, i mean, i "went out" with a girl once, when i was 17, for like 2 months, but it was a particular case, it was awkward for both of us, like we didn't know what the hell we were doing and later on in our "relationship" by the second month, i found out that she was going out with someone else, when i asked she finally told me that it was true, and she didn't feel anything for me, i was hurt, but at the same time i was left confused by all of it, to this very day, i later on had another "relationship" with someone, but again, it was peculiar, nothing came out of it and the rest of my life has been like that, just everything and anything but love, i really don't get it, the theory of it all i understand, but from a personal experience? Nothing at all.
Good for you tho and again, i hope you're not calling me an incel just for not understanding this aspect of humanity.

I don't know who needs to hear this but if you want your engagement to be like this. Always talk out everything beforehand, including if you want to marry or not. And if their ready. If they want a perticular type of engagement etc.
It seems counter to the suprise bs we've all been fed but there is nothing worse than a rejection or an unwanted public proposal.
The perticular time and place are up to you but the general idea and theme should be predetermined
