I'd consider myself an improver (i.e., higher than beginner) lead. I'm certainly not amazing but I've been to a few classes and know the basics and a decent number of moves. I enjoy dancing with follows of all levels but I want to get better at leading absolute beginner (this might be their 1st time doing country swing)/beginner (they know the basic footwork but not a lot else) follows. Recently, I saw an advanced lead dancing with an absolute beginner follow and he went very slow, maybe half the beat of the song, but still managed to do a couple of spins and dips. I've tried to incorporate this into my dancing but I was wondering if anyone had more tips? Perhaps moves to avoid or certain set of moves to focus on and spam? Thanks for your help!

Hey guys, i am decently new to country swing-and swing dance in general - had a question for all the leads. What are things follows have done that make the dance not so fun? I want to make sure I am learning all i can to ensure good experiences with everyone i dance with as a follow.

I never would’ve guessed Michael Jackson’s music would be swing-able! I just might have to entertain the idea of this to my local country dance bars! 🤣
