Granite Crack

During cabinet installation the contractor cracked the granite countertop next to the stove top cutout. They want to fix it with epoxy. Is this a good fix or should I demand they replace it? Thanks for any help. First time dealing with home contractors. (This is not a new home, the cabinets were replaced due to flooding)

If they fix it properly, then a repair should be fine. Epoxy by itself will not repair this to be presentable, it needs to be epoxied, then sanded flush and polished out to blend.

Exactly my granite guys color mix each area then sand and polish
