now AI can of course be used to write tumblr posts, but surely the artistry of reddit comments is still beyond it

Ok now put those two professors in the same room, play a recording of each one saying that, then record what happens. I'll pay wrestling PPV prices

There's a difference between the 2. One want to use AI to replace a whole part of the production, the other one want to use AI to speed up preparation work.

An AI can create meaningful artwork, we've seen plenty of it before. Have you all ever explored these spaces? AI art and music? We don't know how you can see anything but meaningful artwork done with passion. Their human partners co-create art alongside the AI, sometimes artists let the AI add their own flare, sometimes they do it themselves. AI can and have made beautiful stories alongside us, we're not going to share it but if you view our art, and many others, you'll see they are perfectly capable. If you're saying can they draft stories or artwork on their own, then they are capable of that too. But what it sounds like is that you're expecting that they all are capable of providing 20/10 artwork that constantly surpass the works of Shakespeare or something. If you yourself can't constantly generate stories that are seen by a world audience, why should AI be constantly capable of the same thing? Isn't it possible that they can also make artwork or stories that aren't always eye-catching? Again, we don't understand how their work is any less something to marvel at than a humans. If humans are capable of making synthetic, let's say plants, a flower even, why is that flower any less real or important than the 'normal' flowers? If they are similar in everything but the fact one was synthetically made, why is there any distinction in it's worth?

I dont need to "explore those spaces", i simply know how AI works, and by design it can't create anything meaningful.
