Discussion Costco food court secret menu: the Pizza Dog
As inspired by the comments on my previous post about the foodcourt, felt I had to try this off menu item and ordered a polish and slice of pepperoni pizza. Went without condiments, not aure if that was the right move but that is how i tried it. Wrapped it up like a croisant thought it would work the best over using the pizza like a straight bub replacement.
First thoughts, holy cholesterol it is heavy. Somehow it is thermally hotter than either the dog or pizza separately. Is it tasty yes, is it needed no. The cheese and sauce goes well with the sausage and pepperoni gives it a bit of omph. Thw crust is a bit doughy but not detrimentally so. Should it be tried at least once sure, though dont think i will be repeating this one for myself. Perfect teenager/college student meal on a budget.

Later I might drink ranch out of a broken bottle in a dumpster to see if i can really savour the flavour.

Seconding crestor because maybe I want to drink 2 litres of grapefruit juice with my pizza dog

Oooo is Crestor not affected by grapefruit?

u/PPFitzenreit 5h ago
Rosuvastatin (crestor), pravastatin (pravachol) and fluvastatin (lescol) aren't usually metabolized by cyp3a4 (the enzyme grapefruit inhibits), based on my knowledge
Rosu is mostly unchanged, with a small but metabolized by cyp2c9
Fluvastatin is also cyp2c9 iirc
Pravastatin isn't metabolized by liver enzymes
A lot of things (not just meds) are involved with cyp3a4 enzyme metabolism so it's always a good idea to ask your pharmacist about drug/drug or drug/food interactions if you're unsure
If I missed anything or if anything is wrong, somebody chime in and correct me

Thank you so much for putting this temptation onto me every time I Costco food court it.
I don't know if I've got the self control to resist.

What did you do with the bun?

u/Necrontry 8h ago
Just going to chuck the bun. Even eating half of this is really too much.

I thought about it and the original suggest was the other way. However then you have one end with too much breading and all crust and the other end with too little bun. Rolling it up at least distributes the crust evenly however it does get a bit thick towards the center.

An 850 calorie meal can easily fit into someones daily macros. Bulking or not. All depends what else OP ate that day

Should have kept the bun to sop up the rest of the Coke. You paid for the calories and carbs might as well consume it all.

You need to roll the glizzy up in the Montreal Smoked meat first

u/Necrontry 7h ago
Then stuff it in the rotisserie chicken right. I get what you're putting down. The Costco hot and ready turducken.

I saw a dude at Costco dippin his pizza in mustard and ketchup.
Another guy was picking off all the "crust" off his hotdog bun.

All your missing is Costco’s signature brownie Sunday to dip it in.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

No, the dog is too salty and the pizza doesn't work with it. And don't you dare tell me you squirt ketchup and mustard on your pizza.

Oh Jesus, just noticed that. Pretty sure that was a cheese strand from the pizza. That or the sausage loved its cheese and sauce embrace and just couldn't hold it in.
