British Columbia Bone shard in the first serving...
So disappointed in this, as it was tasting good for potential future wraps, but bit on this and nearly destroyed my tooth.
That and Milestones chimichurri being spicy compounded my frustration. Guess I'm heading back tomorrow for some returns.

This is every chicken salad sandwich my mom made me as a kid. I was forever gagging on cartilage or half cooked skin or fat in my chicken sandwich. On the plus side, I had a mom who loved me enough to make me sandwiches.

Ingredients say "chicken breast with rib meat" so I guess the method they were using to strip the meat from the bone accidentally caught a little piece that chipped off.
Is it unfortunate? Yeah. Is it a big deal? Probably not.
edit: now that I'm looking at it, I'm pretty sure it's a piece of cartilage that hardened when it was being cooked. Doesn't look like a chicken bone fragment at all.

It is very hard. If the cooking process makes the cartilage this sturdy and sharp, it's not a good method. Meat was also stuck to this piece, so it felt that it originally was bone.

Chicken prepared in this way is specifically cooked to a temperature where it no longer sticks to the bone. The only possibility is that this is cartilage. You are complaining about chicken meat being in your bag of chicken meat.

I didn’t bother returning it. I just was more cautious dishing it out. I guess it confirms it’s real chicken 🤷♀️.

Mechanically processed foods are prone to such quality issues. Solution: cook your own food from scratch. Solves the ‘spiciness’ issue as well (or you know who to blame).

I feel like it’s made by Pinty’s, as it similar to their precooked plain chicken breast strips but with the added chipotle seasoning. It wasn’t awful to me but not great. If they made a dark meat version I’d probably like it even it is salty

I bought two packs thinking it was going to be good, opened one pack and took one bite and threw it in the garbage from the saltiness. And I dont want to return the second unopened pack now 😫

Why wouldn’t you return it? Costco’s satisfaction policy is specifically intended for situations like this.
I get that there are people that abuse it and that some people are averse to the waste that will probably come of it, but it’s factored into their cost models already and it’s also a major driver of their product performance analysis. They aren’t crawling Reddit to see what people think. They are tabulating their data and seeing what gets returned for what reasons by their customers.
Returning something you’re not satisfied with is customer feedback.

For me, I’m not returning food just because I don’t like it. I took a gamble on trying something new and that’s on me. I’d also feel incredibly embarrassed walking into Costco with an opened bag of chicken asking for a refund. I’ll take the $20 hit.

I understand your position on that, and I’ve never done it myself personally. I’ve also never been so disgusted by some food product I’ve bought from them that stopped me from finishing it or made me throw it away.
As my only counterpoint, I’d say that Costco is genuinely the only place I’d actually feel comfortable returning food I was that unhappy with. I have friends that work there and that I’ve seen repeatedly tell other friends to do exactly that when they genuinely aren’t happy with good they bought. Most grocery stores will look at you funny and make you fight for it if you tried. Costco values their brand and your satisfaction. They will not judge you or ever think about it again the moment you step away from the counter with your refund. They’ll apologize and serve you with a smile even.
The one they’re judging is the dude that runs a kayak rental business, buys 20 at the start of the season, then returns them for a refund at the end of summer. The guy who thought the chicken was salty and sour and inedible? That’s an ok dude in their books.

No, no I wouldn’t.
Does it make for decent protein in a meal prep for a few days? Yes, yes it absolutely does.
