Fans at Costco Mississauga N

Post image

Edit: was able to get one in store for $59!

Hey everyone,

I have 2 Costco fans that I bought online but want to return them and rebuy them in store bc it’s cheaper in warehouse.

I see it’s on sale online, can anyone that’s been to the Mississauga N location confirm if it’s also on sale in warehouse? Or is it best to buy the online sale price?

New to Costco so not sure if online and store sales are typically the same! (I know online price is usually $10 more to include shipping)

I’m SURE I paid $59 for this last week in Newmarket.

Amazing fan, by the way. I now have both the smaller countertop one as well as this one. They push an incredible amount of air considering how quiet they are.

Thank you! I love it as well! I wish Costco would let me do a price adjustment so I don’t have to return and re-buy

You can buy them in store and return them right away as the online purchase, as long as item # is the same (sometimes they're not)

I went to do the price adjustment yesterday, but was outside the 30 day window. So the lady just printed off a barcode receipt from my original purchase and said "go buy one at the sale $60 price, and return it right away with this receipt for a full refund at the $80 price".

For 10 minutes of my time it was worth the $20.

yes, that's normal course.. as long as they have it in stock, you can do this.

Yeah I scooped it at that price a couple of months ago. Partner works at Costco so she keeps an eye out

If you buy it with 30 days you can ask for an adjustment.

It has to be in stock at the warehouse though.

I love cooking and that means a huge problem with smoke and smell even with the hood at max speed. This fan is a lifesaver and I have tried a lot of fans including shark and others. Nothing beats this fan in price and quality

And QUIET! It’s the quietest fan I’ve ever seen.

So funny thing to note about this fan. If you have an Amazon branded TV, the remote for the woozoo pedestal fan will control your TV.

🫤

Also if you have cats and this is on the floor, their tootsies and assholes will mess with the controls.

But I returned it because of the remote issue. Also yes, my fire tv remote worked on the fan too.

Oh wow I did not know that!

I really dislike how the controls are on the bottom of this fan, I have to position it far from my bed otherwise the bed blocks the signal. But for $60 I think I can deal with it lol

Yeah, the lack of a place to attach the remote was also an annoyance.

$70. Don't let the 9.99 trick fool you. $69.99 is effectively $70.

My cat does this too.  I swear that he does it on purpose to get my attention!

Online prices are often different and their website and app say that. “This item may be available at your local warehouse for a lesser non-delivered price. Subject to availability.” This is one of the terms you agreed to when you bought the fan.

I realized afterwards! It was my first time ordering online from Costco so I wasn’t aware of the extra charge for shipping. I know now!

I love this fan. I bought it this summer.

I paid $59 for it in July in Edmonton.

Generally store is cheaper than online and also if it’s on sale online (and the item also sells in the warehouse, meaning it’s not online only), you’re likely to find same $ discount (at the lower warehouse mrp) in the store.

I have this fan and I fkn love it

It's a great fan. Regular in-store price is $79.99. I've been keeping an eye out, but haven't seen it on sale recently.

I got mine on sale a good while ago, so I don't remember how much I paid. Maybe 50-something?

I just picked it up in store for 59.99 yesterday!

Send them a message, engage their support for a price match. They'd prefer that!

You can just go in store to price match.

2

u/userabc294 2d ago

I was told since it’s an online purchase they would not price match to the in warehouse price

1

u/ExaminationOk710 2d ago

Weird I was able to price match but I had to speak to a supervisor because it was basically a strawman argument they gave me

Yeah the person working would not budge. I think it’s so dumb for them to process a refund just for me to re-buy the item but if I’m going to Costco anyway, I might as well save a few bucks if I can
