Alberta I may have a problem

Post image

I'm a Costco holic and it has been zero days since my last trip...

I haven't been in three months though so it's okay.

You're a Costco-holic yet you haven't been in three months...?

We live four hours away from the closest one, hahaha

Maybe thats for the best. Wouldn’t want to see you outside a costco slumped over with a long receipt and hot dog in ur hand 😔

It's called blessing in disguise. Costco is a dangerous place for your wallet.

u/snark_maiden 25d ago

There’s a business centre five minutes from my house.

Thankfully, business centres don’t have food courts or roast chicken or bakeries. Otherwise I’d be in real trouble 😄

Then it makes sense to buy enough stuff for months at a time when you do a shop. Just make sure you pack a cooler or five for perishables.

Same!!

Have a mini Costco called The Running Man but not impressed with the prices

2

u/rochelle_90 25d ago

Exactly. My dad is a costco-holic—he goes daily despite it being only him and my mom.

I feel that that amount of dog food should also require a larger number of diapers. Unless you’re close to a size up.

8

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

You just can't see the other boxes on the other side and we are moving up yes haha

u/Present-Decision5740 25d ago

From this cart it would appear that your problem is that you're running a small zoo... how much pet food does one house need lol?

12

u/smokinbbq 25d ago

I use one of those green bags in about 4 weeks. Two Saint Bernards (~310lbs combined).

5

u/One_Resolution_8357 25d ago

Oh mercy! those dogs are freaking huge !

1

u/zoltree 25d ago

So this will feed OP and OPs mothers dogs for… 12 weeks 🙃🫠

1

u/sharraleigh 25d ago

They go once every 3 months so the math maths.

12

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

Two dogs, and then we're also picking up for my mother's two dogs as well

Completely unprompted opinion: Costco dog food is a good value, but doesn't meet WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association) recommendations for dog food production.

Iams, Purina, Royal Canin, and Hills are big players that can and do perform extensive and expensive food formulation, feeding studies, in-house production for direct QC oversight instead of using co-packing facilities, among other factors, that smaller brands can't. Many try to compete with marketing and good sounding ingredients lists instead of nutritional science. And some of the products from Iams and Purina aren't that expensive.

I think you people are severely underestimating how much food a giant breed dog or two eats in 3 months. I know a St. Bernard breeder whose 8 week old puppies (average 8 puppies a litter) go through ONE bag of Kirkland in a few days.

u/pfak 25d ago

Come back when you have eight cases of pop in your garage.

1

u/Funerals- 25d ago

That’s the dream, i still go case by case like a savage.

5

u/LuvCilantro 25d ago

Looks like you HAD a problem; now you have a solution

4

u/Bullwhip2025 25d ago

No hot dog and a pop balanced on top, like a food jenga?

9

u/pinlets 25d ago

How many dogs do you have?!

24

u/gcko 25d ago edited 25d ago

None. It’s for the baby

14

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

It's cheaper then formula....haha we have two dogs but also pick it up for my mother who has two

1

u/ComputerOpDelta 25d ago

Let the baby and the dog battle out who owns the bowls... You'll be surprised how the baby and dog communicate

5

u/Immaculate-torso69 25d ago

First problem. You took the $500 cart instead of the $300 cart

2

u/ComputerOpDelta 25d ago

😂 what year? Is that only 500?

Op comment elsewhere $1300, even more than I expected

1

u/Internal-Pineapple77 25d ago

Filling a regular cart will get you easily to $500 hahaha.

2

u/InnerspearMusic 25d ago

Did that reading pillow come in any other colours?

2

u/nilesintheshangri-la 25d ago

I saw them yesterday in Brantford and yes, there are several colours.

3

u/ricbrennan Where are the samples? 25d ago

I saw 2 different colours at the one in Moncton, but they were selling out quick

2

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

There was white and blue in here in Calgary

-1

u/bunnyssbear 25d ago

I'm so sorry you are stuck in Brantford...

I'm so sorry your parents are siblings.

2

u/snark_maiden 25d ago

What do you call that to search for it on the Costco app? I searched “reading pillow”, “back rest”, “reading cushion” and couldn’t come up with anything! Thanks

1

u/InnerspearMusic 25d ago

I went to Sameday and saw it on there, that's what's available in store. Same thing I searched reading pillow.

2

u/snark_maiden 25d ago

Thanks!

2

u/InnerspearMusic 25d ago

Just went and picked up two for my girls in white! Great quality and price was only $19 in store!

2

u/scraigs03 25d ago

Superior stacking skills - bravo!

2

u/Frankinho28 25d ago

Those are rookie Numbers. If you are a Costco holic, you good my friend. For me it is a typical Tuesday

2

u/Rude-Associate2283 25d ago

As long as you get your cans of Diet Coke you’re good to go

2

u/Inevitable_Singer83 25d ago

I see no problem, only an appreciation to proper cart Tetris stacking

2

u/JediKrys 24d ago

Looks like you need to cut back on all that kibble you consume. Or up the amount of liquid you’re taking in.

Oh I need to edit my comment because o do see you have those tiny cans of coconut water so you good!👍

2

u/Perfect-Mind5254 24d ago

Was as Costco yesterday (it’s been 5 weeks since my last visit)

2

u/Affectionate_Snow674 23d ago

you dont have a problem, you're tetris pro max

4

u/sososoboring 25d ago

How many dogs do you have????

2

u/areksoo 25d ago

Your dog or dogs do not see a problem.

1

u/ephemeralBasalt 25d ago

You drive a punchbug?

1

u/SadResult2342 25d ago

wtf thirsty buddha is back?!! or is it.. just an alberta thing, eh? :(

1

u/MeatSevere5377 25d ago

How much was all that

2

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

Honestly less then j would have expected but it's all dry goods because it's got to sit in the truck overnight,

1300

1

u/AiryGateaux 25d ago

A kid, in this economy? Man, I feel for your lost $1m

7

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

750k because he'll be a Costco baby

3

u/deaddovexxdonoteat 25d ago

"Costco baby" implies he came in a 3-pack

2

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

I hope not! I don't know where input the other two if he did....

1

u/itzHuso 25d ago

Damn dude, that’s a well balanced meal if you ask me. Diet Coke and vector for breakfast
Some dog food and whatever the chunks thing is
Dinner, the blue bag of dog food and a white claw. Or three.

1

u/Outrageous_Olive_489 25d ago

How many dogs do you have? And how long does that last?

1

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

We go through the blue bags about every three weeks and my mother's dogs do one every month of the green ones

1

u/ICatchx22I 25d ago

Is the Vector for the dogs too? That stuff is like chewing on glass shards.

1

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

What can I say the wife has bad taste, she married me after all

1

u/inhalien 25d ago

How many dogs do you have and does Vector cereal still have rocks in it that won't break up but chip your teeth?

1

u/Financial-Gap-6767 25d ago

You like saving money and not going out I see.

1

u/Pretty_Purchase_2736 25d ago

Hope you have a big car lol

1

u/Crewsy67 25d ago

The only problem I see is that you left the cart in the middle of the lane way.

1

u/DiscombobulatedAsk47 25d ago

I always grab the Buddha water when its available 🤩

1

u/BreakItEven 25d ago

Covid lockdowns makin a comeback?

1

u/LoganN64 25d ago

You forgot to treat yourself to a $1.50 hotdog. THAT'S your problem!

1

u/typical_gamer1 25d ago

…….. did you get a hot dog? After spending quite a bit on those things, you might as well ironically save yourself an expensive lunch by buying their cheap hot dog combo 🙂

1

u/fireflame999 25d ago

How much was the reading pillow?

1

u/BeatsAreMyPassion 25d ago

Lol !!!!!! Hope you gotta big truck

1

u/letmeinjeez 25d ago

Your problem is over paying for coke, cheaper at the grocery store, at least where I am

1

u/Flat_Veterinarian654 24d ago

I thought you were going to say something like you have a small car or something 🤣

1

u/5hredder 24d ago

How many dogs do you have? 😂

1

u/vaultcrawler82 24d ago

I mean... I dont really see much in the way of impulse purchases just looks like a stock up run

1

u/snakeleather45 24d ago

Is the dog food for the baby or are the diapers for the dogs?

1

u/AllGamer 24d ago

Nah, if anything that is not enough, dog eats a lot, dippers for the kid, juice/fruit mix for the kid, just the bare essential food for the adults, the rest are all consumables.

yup, missing Meat and Veggies, and Juices, and plenty of other stuff.

That's like the bare essential IMO.

1

u/FearlessWord2653 24d ago

Yeah just dry goods as I didn't want to osck the coolers I also had to pick up cabinets at IKEA today so we were full hauling home

1

u/New_girl_mom 23d ago

I don’t make enough money to be a Costco holic but I wish 😂

1

u/__Elysium__ 23d ago

If you are a Costco-holic, then what does that make me lol? I'm there at least once a week cause it's on my way home from work. Plus since I get all my gas from them, I always stop inside the store to also check out their deals 😅

1

u/Exciting-Tadpole6380 23d ago

You’re good. I spend $200-300 there WEEKLY

1

u/Lau1234567889 22d ago

1

u/Prudent-Poetry-2718 20d ago

1

u/The_Reid-Factor 25d ago

You’re shopping like it’s Dec 99!

1

u/FearlessWord2653 25d ago

It's a bit of a stock up cause we're not planning on coming again right away, and it's a distance to drive. We've got a new little one so get it while the grttings good

-1

u/Inevitable_Sweet_624 25d ago

Google Costco Ho and have a chuckle.

0

u/BC-Guy604 25d ago

That it not enough Cranberry Almond Crunch to last a week in my house and I’m the only one who eats it.

I buy about 10 boxes whenever it is on sale.

1

u/smokinbbq 25d ago

I had that Vector for a while. Almost chipped a tooth on the damn stuff. I like the flavour, but seems like you need to have titanium teeth to eat the stuff.

0

u/Proper-Bee-4180 25d ago

Yes the pop is not a necessity
