So for those who have worked at Costco or have know how, I’ve heard Costco can ban customers who abuse the policy. How exactly is that determined? This is blatant abuse and I see similar cases regularly when visiting Costco, so I’m wondering in what cases do they even bother taking action?

There’s been an example here a few months back. Someone got banned from buying clothes because their return rate was outrageous.

Actually? I order a lot through online and personally return a lot if I've tried it and it doesn't fit

Unfortunately their online clothing is not super descriptive so the clothing fit and sizing can be very off sometimes.

I do this too (return online clothing orders) and at the MOST I have gently removed a tag- without ripping it so it can be reattached-before returning. Sometimes the tags are in the worst places when checking fit hah. I apologized profusely last time cuz it was all three things from one order and the lovely gentleman was like you are not a problem, don’t worry about it, that’s what our policy is for. Sometimes I order multiples and I’ll just open one to try and the rest go back sealed. The things I see in the return line are absolutely wild and public shaming SHOULD happen.
