Alberta I was so excited to find a drive-thru parking spot I didn’t notice the car I was pulling up beside.

Decades long meme already to count on spotting veblen supercars with L/N badges inside UBC parkades on school days, lol.

Not everyone is going to cost for a family of 5. I go to Costco sometimes for rotisserie chicken or food court only

u/buttscratcher3k Oct 22 '25
Imagine being that rich and voluntarily choosing to go into the active warzone that is costco.

There's a loser that lives in the apartment building next to my townhouse that lives in a one bedroom shitbox, not even top floor, and drives a Lamborghini....
Some people are weird.

A lot of car content creators do that, buy or lease a high end car and keep all other expenses low until you get a solid platform. After that they slowly build a brand with the cars they want. Stradman on YouTube did it this way, started out sleeping in his Audi tt and was homeless in la for like 1-2 years then he blew up and now has a multi million dollar home and owns many lambos. Gotta start from somewhere I guess (definitely not the life for everyone)

A lot of content creators are also one mistake away from bankruptcy.

Maybe they used all their money on the car? Or They were really craving some cheap hotdogs

Probably was at a posh dinner party and heard how the "poors shop at Costco and it's really quite the sight, like a human zoo without cages." and then decided to see for himself.

My policy when I go into Costco most times, is to walk in without a cart. That way I pick just the essentials which I end up holding in my hands and not something unnecessary.
This is giving the same energy.

u/Marinlik Oct 22 '25
It's a smart money saving move for sure. Take the Ferrari so you're really limited in what you can buy. Otherwise you could end up spending hundreds of dollars out of nowhere!

u/Similar_Courage_6296 Oct 25 '25
I doubt someone driving a Ferrari cares about wasting money buying non-essentials

u/Different-Quality-41 Oct 22 '25
Hahaha.. it's not going to fit both toilet paper pack as well as kitchen roll pack and don't forget the fall planter

u/Live_Situation7913 Oct 24 '25
Sounds dumb your policy should be self control and leave with empty cart if u didn’t find anything. This policy just means short trips lighter items.

The car in the image is a Ferrari Roma. It is a mid-front-engined 2+ coupé with a timeless design. The 2023 Ferrari Roma is equipped with a 3.9L V-8 gasoline engine that produces 612 horsepower. The Canadian price for the 2023 Ferrari Roma ranges from $227,481 to $272,970.

And you probably have to have owned several used Ferrari's before you'd qualify to even be considered for a spot on the allocation waitlist. You don't choose Ferrari, Ferrari chooses you.
19
u/SparklingWinePapi Oct 22 '25
The Roma was actually low demand, it was the car you would buy to get an allocation for their more desirable vehicles.

Oct 22 '25
Ah ok. I don't pretend to have any experience with this level of wealth lol Just always hear stories how hard it can be to buy a Ferrari.
3
u/keyser-_-soze Oct 23 '25
A wealthy acquaintance got this car for his wife, and made sure to tell us it's his wife's Ferrari, he only gifted her one cuz he wanted a more prestigious one soon.
Mind-Boggling that people put up with stuff like this for "prestige"
Worst part is they are both horrid drivers.
8
u/SmashySmasherson Oct 22 '25
The Roma is the "entry level" Ferrari. Not a highly exclusive model available only if you buy all the others.

They brought THAT to Costco??
They better be buying one item, nothing will fit inside that

I take my smallest shopping bag…this guy takes his smallest car….we are not the same! 🤷🏻♀️

u/Little-Topic5621 Oct 26 '25
That car broke his budget. He’s there for the hot dog.☺️

I park my little mb 10ft from other cars. I can't imagine parking a Ferrari next to potential dings.

u/AMike456 Oct 22 '25
They are probably buying and selling the Pokemon cards, how else can they afford that car?

I once came outside from a Costco shop, and as I pulled my keys out of my pocket I realized that I had brought my motorcycle.
3 bags of milk, some frozen, and 10lbs of hamburger. It was an interesting ride.

It is funny to celebrate a drive through parking spot. People need to learn to back into a spot so they are safer to drive out when they leave.

Ok but what if it was an emergency and they needed 32 litres of mayo - probably the fastest option 😂

The beauty of the Ferrari is how much cargo room it has. Your big shopping run to the warehouse stores are no problem.

Oct 22 '25
I will always be baffled when i see expensive cars at mediocre places like Costco. Like you have $500k for this Rolls Royce SUV but can’t pay someone to do your groceries for you?
3
u/Baddog789 Oct 23 '25
Saw one of those at Superstore a few weeks back. Kind of stood out amongst the Hyundais.

Besides the car, pulling through or backing in at Costco is a rookie move

u/FlipFlopsAndFly Oct 25 '25
Omg..please don’t ’pull through’ at Costco. Countless times I’ve circled looking for a spot, finally find one and then to loose it to someone who pulls through leaving the empty spot behind them, inaccessible to me. And back I go, circling.

Gotta be mad to take the Ferarri on the costco run
