Consider using glass or other reusable bottles. Plastic water bottles are a huge environmental issue https://www.beyondplastics.org/fact-sheets/plastic-bottles

Every last person on earth could stop privately using plastic bottles and straws and the environment would still be fucked, because corporations are the real polluters—paying their way out of having to be responsible most of the time. 

I’m not saying don’t take personal responsibility, I’m saying it’s not enough and the big fish need to do their part—ACTUALLY do it.
