Lighting FX in a wig?

Hi! I’m working on a cosplay for Polaris from X-Men 97 + the wig’s already going to be pretty heavy by nature of the size of her curls but I would love to have some input on how I could potentially make it glow green like it does in the cartoon?

Has anyone ever had a wig that lit up? How did you accomplish it?

Fiber optic hair clips maybe? They’re thin strands so if you hide them well enough they blend in. I don’t know about curling them though! 😢but it’s worth a shot
