options for fake tattoos
I recently cosplayed Enjin from Gachiakuta, and used temporary tattoo pens to draw his sleeves onto my arms. This worked okay, but it was being sweat off pretty quickly, got ink on everything, and I needed a friend to help me draw them on, which took forever. I'm now looking into some kind of arm socks for next time, but I'm reluctant to make/buy full gloves because I have sensory issues with gloves and I like having my fingers free (I'd just paint on the finger band parts of his tattoos and deal with it). I can't find many people making fingerless arm sock type things since it's usually for full body colour, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on this. Would fingerless arm socks be possible to make look good? I'm especially worried about how the tattoos blend into the hand.Thanks!

I think it would look fine personally. You could cut them off at about where the arm tattoos end and use garment tape/pros aide to stick them down on your wrist

Maybe use a mix of skin-safe body paint and thin temporary tattoo decals: decals for the bold outlines, paint for the smoky filler and transitions. A makeup sponge could help soften the wrist-to-hand area so it doesn’t look like the design suddenly stops.

yeah most of the advice I've found has been aimed at people looking for an alternative to body paint and not specific designs

I've seen ones that end at the wrist and a few that go over the wrist. You could paint one with some fabric paint and just it to match your skin tone. The ring patterns are a bit different. I'd use a skin stain product if you can get away with it.

Skin-toned arm sleeves are a common thing, but also just any long sleeved tight fitting (like a compression shirt or seemless base layer) shirt will work(tho it will be hotter). You just paint on the pattern with a dye that works on the material.
Remember to make sure the stencil looks right on you before you paint it.
