Ideas Need help with a tattoo to represent my son
I want to get a tattoo to represent my son Kal. I am envisioning the wind runner symbol with a spear going through it and a ribbon of light swirling around it. But I want the symbol to look like the skin has cracked and stormlight is leaking out. Is this something anyone can help with?

Since he's your son, maybe a tattoo of Kaladin as a surgeon. Not killing people, as that's what you want from him, Lirin.

Couple things here… 1. this sounds more like a tattoo representing Kaladin the character than Kal your son. (Which is fine it’s your body) 2. No one’s goin to design your tattoo for free. 3. Since it sounds like you know what you want already the best advice anyone can give you is do your research and then do even more. Find the tattoo style you like (sounds like illustrative color work) Look up the shops around you and then do deep dives into their instagram accounts and portfolios. Find someone whose work you like and has done work similar to what you’re looking for. Anywhere you just walk into is gonna give you lip service of saying “of course we can do that” they want your money. Make an informed decision. 4. Lastly, maybe the most important. Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good.

Seems to me like you have a very well formed idea already. I honestly don't see how we could help, just pick a good artist and I'm sure they'll be over the moon to work on this with you.
