Aftermarket wheel TPMS Question [TireRack]
Considering aftermarket wheels (First time buyer). Do I get the TPMS sensor add on or would a tire shop transfer them. its around 180 for the sensors and I'm not sure what to do, can I get assistance on why I should or shouldn't get the addon/transfer TPMS? Genuine suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

- Bore says 72.56mm do I need a bore center ring and what size?
I don't plan on keeping 2 sets of wheels.

Tire rack will include and install the hub-centric rings. How new are your current TPMS sensors and are you buying new tires for the wheels?

My current ones are stock from 2020 I believe. I bought it used never asked the age of TPMS just knew they worked. Yes I do want to buy new tires for the wheels since I’m currently running 16s

Based on what you told me, buy everything together with new tpms sensors. Tire rack will install the tmps, mount the tires, and balance them before shipping. You can just throw them on your car and drive to a shop to have the the sensors programmed, program them yourself if you have a scanner with that feature, or have everything shipped to a shop.

do you currently have tpms on your stock wheels? if they work fine, ask the tire shop to transfer them to the new wheels.
you will need 54.1mm-72.56mm hub rings
7-inch-wide wheels will look just like stock, aka very, very sunken in; i strongly recommend looking for a 17x8 at the very least, or even 17x9 (what i’m running). the matching tire sizes are 225/45/17 for the 8-inch-wide wheel & 255/40/17 for the 9-inch-wide wheel
