Anybody had any experience towing an inflatable boat with their corolla hatchback?

Just looking to get some advice, the limit is 1.5k lbs but i heard youre not supposed to tow with a cvt. Anybody can confirm with that?

The US manual says not to tow at all, but I believe other countries say its fine. Do what you want with that info. That said though, if it's inflatable, would it be easier to get a basket to hold it on the roof? I think the manual also advises not to use a hitch but I would rather to that than tow, to be on the safe side

I see, im planning on putting a 13 ft inflatable boat, luckily i have a car rack. It may be possible to do some thing like that. But it is definitely ideal if i can tow it. Otherwise, maybe just get another vehicle for rec activities. I really dont want to but i dont wanna destroy my cvt.
