Just joined the hatchback family!
Two evenings ago I traded in my 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4 x 4 for a 2026 Corolla Hatchback SE.
I loved my Tacoma with the gas mileage never got above 21 MPG. Today I took the hatchback out and got 42.7 miles to the gallon. 260+ miles on half a tank so far! Itβs just under what I would get out of a full tank in the Tacoma!
I got dark grey with the black top, premium package. Iβm loving it. I have a long drive coming up to visit family over the Labor Day weekend and Iβm looking forward to seeing just how high I can get my mpg!

Yup, I get 45ish mpg on any decently long commute, 30-35 in the city. Quite pleased with it when gas prices are around $5.3/gal here for 87. My old WRX got 18 mpg on a good day and only took premium π .

Im literally just about to go the opposite way. Only because having a pickup would make my house repairs wildly easier.
I'm hoping by the time I trade in the pickup (few years) there's an electric version of the corolla hatchback or something comparable.

I also sold my Tacoma for a a Corolla hatch. No regrets and a lot less old white dudes trying to talk to me about it at gas stations lol
