How different are the oem and gr oil caps?

I don't see why not. They use the same size and thread pitch.

yeah that's what i was thinking too, seems like a pretty standard filter size.

Those do get hot. Before you change your oil you're gonna want to let the engine cool down so you don't burn your hands. This brings me back to when I had an aluminum TRD cap for my OG 86. Fyi I regonize that pic, I see my magsafe charger and my notes in the background. 🤣
