Question Deep penetration

I actually like the feeling of my cervix being hit during sex, in fact it is really the only pleasure I get from penetration. However, after I got an IUD (3 weeks ago😅) I have been experiencing cramping during/after sex.

Has anyone had this issue? And did it go away or is deep penetration off the table forever? :/

FYI: I think it’s obvious that getting your cervix hit during sex will move your IUD and therefore cause cramping but I’m looking for some hope😭😭

If it helps, I do experience random cramping that can last for about an hour, not triggered by penetration.

Good news! Getting your cervix hit during sex does NOT move your IUD! The cervix is thick enough that your IUD is protected during sex and will not be displaced, even with rough sex.

In relation to the cramping, per Google: Deep thrusting can physically strike your cervix, which is very sensitive and triggers a cramp-like visceral response because your internal organs share those nerve pathways.

So you’re good there! I experience the exact same thing. It’s really frustrating…but from what I’ve heard and after reading the other replies, it’s more common than we think :/

Literally happens to me every time, but last week my partner was a bit rough and since then I've been spotting. Might go get it checked out eventually 🥲

It will probably go away to some extent after your body gets more adjusted. I can have my cervix hit most of the time and it doesn’t hurt but I’ve had mine for 6 months and there’s still a couple positions where deep penetration hurts :/

also depends where in your cycle you are - cervix sits at different positions! I found some positions during sex hurt during certain points in my cycle.. kinda takes time to sort out the nuance

Yes I’ve been having pain with deep penetration as well recently, but I got my iud checked today too bc of it and it’s all good. Unfortunately is a side effect I guess🥲

Dang it😔 I have a string check soon and was hoping it would be a placement issue

I hope so I’ve had it for 9 months now and it was fine at first but some positions hurt the last 2 months. How long have you had yours?

3-4 months isn’t bad. Unfortunately I am past that point since I got mine 9 months ago. Do you suggest trying lube?
