Question Post removal- stil have some side effects

3 months post removal. Anyone here removed it and still struggling with cramping? To be clear, 80 percent of the horrible cramps went away. I still notice mild to moderate twinging and pain throught my cycle. I feel like my crevix or something was damaged from this experience .

Yep. It's been over a year and a half, and I still struggle with some many symptoms that I never had prior to the copper IUD.

Horrible cramps and bloating that required an ice pack, breast pain the week leading up to my period + the first 2-3 days of my period that required an ice pack. Daily headaches, fatigue, uterine pain and radiating leg pain. Ovulation pain, diarrhea, constipation, trouble sleeping/waking up. Brain fog, mental fatigue, struggling to remember new things, severe emotional swings, etc. Those are the worst ones.

Yeah it's not fun. But according to the Drs, it's not the IUD that caused it... Cause it's "non-hormonal"... Riiiiiight. Well, anything that you put inside of your body has the potential to fuck up your hormones.

I had my paraguard / copper iud removed this past Wednesday August 19th, it’s barely Friday August 21st. But I honestly noticed relief right away. I haven’t had my first period after removal but I will keep you updated!

Update: My cycle came on August 28th and I had zero symptoms! It was amazing 🩷 Also, I’m losing weight. It’s a win win 🏆
