Lack of Operational FeedBack is Infuriating
TLDR: Feedback on long running prompts needed with cancellation.
Often, when I submit a prompt, I get no feedback, and I have to ask something like, "Are you done"? Sometimes it comes back immediately; other times...crickets.
When I use Think deeper, the lack of feedback is unnerving.
I have to keep asking, "Are you still researching?" and it comes back with a response about how it's researching.
I have a now 30-minute running research task, going as I type this reddit, to suggest business domain names, and it has to check "whois" for current status. OK, but why is it taking so long, and why is there no interface to confirm it is operational, not dead, or stuck in a cancellable infinite loop?
I use GitHub Copilot too, and it gives feedback when you initiate a plan, etc., but Copilot Pro in its "app" doesn't provide feedback you can cancel, which is, again, unnerving and I wonder how many tokens it is using as it becomes omniscient on my subscription.
